Excellent Heater...Some Issues

I am struggling to rate this heater appropriately so I'll start with the good:
It does an incredible job of heating a room quickly, is quiet enough, and I like the fan only option too. The thermostat and controls all do a great job. Design is sleek and while I never use the remote for any reason, I suppose it's nice for some people.
Here's the not so good:
Mine stopped working after only two months. It made a clicking noise and then just no power at all. I tried again after letting it sit for a day in case it overheated and had some sort of protection switch triggered...still no power. The other problem I had is the bright display. During the day it looks very nice and modern but if you like to use it at night or sleep with the noise in fan only mode like we do, it's intense! So bright that Batman might show up thinking you called for him bright. You can't exactly cover it either. They should make it dimmable or have the display backlight that auto turns off after 15 sec or a night mode at least.

Great and just in time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was going to be looking for a heater very soon due to the Chicago weather. I needed a heater for my bedroom because it is in the back of the house. According to where the bedroom and the thermostat are the tempeture difference in the house can be a challenge. Anyway, the TAVH10 heater is one of the best heaters I have had in a long time. It's the right size for my room and comes with a remote control. It also has tempeture control which allows the heater to regulate the room without over heating the room. This is a handy feature because you do not have to turn the heater off when it is too hot for you. You set the temp and it does the job. The heater is also cool to the touch. This is great if you would like to move the heater around. It automatically shuts off if tipped over. This is a great heater especially for us that live in colder climates and do not want to over work or pay more to run your forced heat. I live in Chicago so it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to space heaters. This is one great heater to have around.
Pros: Good Power Output, Heats the Whole Room, Quiet, Safe
Cons: Burns Energy

ALMOST perfect little space heater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start...the only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to the remote which I explain below. When I received the TAVH10 Vortex Heater I have to tell you I was super excited! Who gets excited over a space heater? This girl! I am ALWAYS cold! First taking it out of the box I noticed the heater was a really pretty bluish gray color, not just plain black or white like your typical space heater so the color ads some style. It is quite small and light compared to other space heaters I have owned. After perusing the directions for a minute and placing the batteries in the little remote, I plugged this baby in! Off the bat I noticed how quiet this little thing is. It has a digital display so you can see clearly what temperature it is at. It threw off a lot of heat for such a little machine. It warmed up our medium sized living room in no time. The machine is also pretty darn safe. Always cool to the touch and has a special tip over feature that shuts off if tipped over or if the machine gets overheated. Pretty great to have if you have kids or animals but as always you still must supervise your kids/animals when the heater is in use! What I was most excited about was this baby has a remote! After initial use though I have to say I was a little disappointed. The range is not that great. I was hoping that with having it to the side of the couch and me sitting on the couch just pushing the button would work, but you have to have the remote pointing directly at the center of the machine. This was the only con I had about this machine though. If Vortex could just make the remote have a little more range and power this machine would be PERFECT! Overall this is a perfect addition to anyone's home in the winter months to save on your energy bill. This space heater performs better than any I have owned thus far and I am looking forward to using it throughout these cold winter months ahead of us! I forgot to add that it also has a timer!

Cons: Remote does not have much range

the touch screen and sensor are aggressively bright

The heater does its job but it's unfortunate you can't control this device with any sort of smart timer. Further, the touch screen and sensor are SO BRIGHT they illuminate the entire room. it's honestly shocking how bright the thing is and you can't exactly cover it up because you can't just control it with a smart device you need to use the screen or remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Heats Room Quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this heater. I was surprised at the size of it. I thought it would be much smaller, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that it wasn't. I like that it has a remote control with it that you can turn it on or off and adjust the temperature without having to get up. It did not take any real time to heat up the room. I used this in my bedroom and I tried it out in my living room. I know that it's a new product, but I didn't like the smell of it when you turned it on the first few times. I guess that will go away with time. I would definitely buy and recommend this heater if I wasn't given this to test out. It's worth every penny. Compared to other heaters, it's quieter and heats faster. It doesn't get hot to touch. If it's accidentally knocked over, it will shut itself off. Great safety mechanism. Overall, I'm absolutely satisfied with this heater. It's great for anyone and especially if you have children because you won't have to worry about them being burned if they touch it.

Very Quiet!

This unit is great. It is very quiet and efficient. The remote control was the best selling feature for me. I wish it had a holder on the unit, but I put mine in an old eye glass holder on my night stand and that works great for the mornings. Would definitely buy again.

But this one is great - very efficient,quiet & seems to be very safe. Also I love the remote control and in the summer it can be used as a fan.

Small Heater Packs a Punch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is a darling little heater. I was quite surprised at the amount of heat it generates for the small size. I can sit it several feet away from me and feel a very strong warm blast of heat. I like that it doesn't take a long time to heat up either. It's a heater I would certainly recommend for home and work use (I have a heater at work so I don't need a work heater there). This heater is going to get me through this winter for sure! Great buy!
