[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For our kitchen remodel, we wanted a dual zone wine cellar with independent temperature settings. We found this model to fit all of our requirements. The sleek look of the unit fit perfectly with our new kitchen design. This unit is one of very few on the market that provides independent temperature controls for the two zones. Most cellars have the second zone =/- a set number from the programmable first zone. The estimated capacity is stated as 46. Many reviews complain that this is not attainable. To be honest, this is an issue with ALL wine cellars. I carefully filled our cellar with a variety of wines. You need to be creative and patient, but I was able to store 45 bottles in this unit. I have to admit that a redesign to allow fractional additional space between the shelves would make this unit perfect.

Don't get this if you expect it to hold 46 bottles

Got our new KitchenAid wine cooler. I was excited to get it. We had plenty of wine to put into it since our previous wine cooler had died. It is kind of big, but what do you expect for something that holds 46 bottles, right? I found it super quiet and it went to temperature within a few hours. I was eager to put my wine into it. . . and found it does NOT fit too many regular Cabarnet Sauvignon on each drawer! The drawers fit 4 - 5 bottles each. The drawer that is right under the temperature controls is very tight and though I have 4 bottles in that one, it is extremely hard to pull out and it started pulling the label off the bottle on the very first pull. I am extremely disappointed that I spent this much money on a unit that is holding less than half the bottles than it said I would hold. I am hoping it doesn't start sounding noise because I willf be VERY upset.

I bought this unit because I've generally had good experiences with KitchenAid products having owned their dishwashers and refrigerators. Sadly KitchenAid has dropped the ball on their wine frig. It does not fit wine bottles! I drink a fair amount of Barolo & Burgundy and the bottles simply do not fit. The unit also does not come even close to fitting the advertised number of bottles should you happen to buy really small bottles of wine. About the only thing this wine frig will fit is sauvignon Blanc. It did not even fit CDP, so if you drink premium wine forget about this unit.

Previously had a KitchenAid wine cooler the same size, but the internal configuration was slightly different. This unit does not accommodate Syrah or Pinot Noir bottles as there is not enough space between the shelves.
I would definitely take a bottle of your favorite type of wine when shopping to see if it fits.
Performs well however.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This purchase was made to replace a previous under-counter Wine Chiller by KitchenAid. My previous Wine Chiller lasted 15 years so I was willing to take another chance on a KA Wine Chiller. PRO: 1) this unit is very attractive; 2) easy to control temperature; has new and improve features (users decide what temp they want their whites/reds, for example there are pre program temperature ranges - 42-54 degrees F for whites and 42-64 degrees F for reds, I can adjust my temp between those ranges, this feature is a big plus for me; 3) the unit is very quiet; 4) there is an 'auto light' feature, when this is enable, the inside light is activated with movement which is perfect when entertaining. 5) All of the shelves slide easily which wasn't the case with my previous unit. CON: 1) Periodically this unit gives out some sort of chemical scent, it is not overbearing: 2) Champagne and Pinot Noir bottles can only fit on the third shelf. The third shelf is within the top zone (whites, this limits me to keep my Pinot at the same temp as my whites (49 degrees, the recommended temp for Pinot is 54-60). I am limited when it comes to Pinot Noir.

Got another KitchenAid wine cooler. My previous wine cooler died. It is super quiet and it lights up with motion. It does NOT fit 46 bottles. The drawer that is right under the temperature controls is very tight. I am extremely upset that I spent so much money on a unit that holds less than it advertised.
