Works pretty good

For the most part I really love the Nest, but I have two different heat sources and I am having trouble figuring out how to control the two independently.

when it says it's "learning' device, boy does it meaning learning device. Having it a month and don't even have to touch my nest thermostat!

I purchased my Nest Learning Thermostat to replace an existing working Honeywell wifi thermostat. Everything I needed besides a Phillips screwdriver to mount the base plate was included. Followed instructions and downloaded the Nest app to finish install and it works like a champ. Wiring was fairly simple. Wire labels had to be held on with scotch tape as they easily fell off. Now i let it learn.

I bought this thermostat to replace one that was working properly but wanted something with more features. It was easy to install and works very well. Actually my electric bill has went down since purchasing this product. Looks good, feels like it is well built and would recommend. No issues so far. Others have said there's quit working after updates but I have not had that issue. I have not had t

Since previous thermostat only had 4 wires, went through the effort to install the Venstar C-wire kit. Nest indicated it was getting power from the 'C' terminal. Even the Nest install is very cool - digitally showing the terminals and what's connected to them. It is learning very quickly and the 'phone away' feature is awesome. The Nest itself was very easy to install - maybe 30 minutes.

I own 2 Nest 3rd gen thermostats and I like them but they aren't perfect. My #1 complaint is that these devices aren't actually 'smart'. They collect a lot of data but that data isn't used for true smart features like alerting to potential fault/failure conditions. Woke up in July to 1st floor heating and 2nd floor cooling due to a failure in the 1st floor thermostat itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!
