Nest Learning Thermostat A+++

We have been using the Nest Learning Thermostat for 2 years now and it works great. It is economical and reliable. Being able to monitor the temperature of our home remotely is great, especially in the summers in Arizona. We can check the temps and make sure our AC is working to ensure our animals are safe when we are gone for the day. We would not choose any other thermostat after using the Nest.

Learned about it a few years ago when I rented and fell in love with it. I swore when I purchased my own home, I would buy it for my own home.

Exactly what I wanted and needed

I was hoping to replace my old outdated "programmable" thermostat with something that had more technology than the a nearly non-functional programming that was on my old unit. Boy did the nest make setting up my schedule and setting to away mode super easy. I loved that I didn't even have to worry about if I had setup my schedule yet I could just set it to a higher temperature while at work.

Saves on Your Biggest Energy Cost

Great tool to save on energy consumption. Programmable and uses your phones location to kick into eco mode when you leave home.
One thing to watch for - if you’re having a contractor install, make sure that they send someone with experience installing nest. My HVAC tech didn’t, and it was a pain.

Why can't everything work like this

I love my nest. I wish I had one my whole life. I will never have a home without one now. I love setting the temp from bed or work. I love the learning mode, because it seems to know how cold or hot we want it when we're home or gone. It cost about 3x the other kind of thermostat I had but I like it 10x better.
