HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NEST THERMOSTAT

This is a great product. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND BOTH TAKE A CELL PHOTO OF THE WIRING ON YOUR OLD THERMOSTAT AS WELL AS LABEL THE WIRES.

Very Happy with purchase

Easy to install,looks great on our wall and very happy with the intuitive way the Nest adjusts temperature to our family's routine. My favorite feature is being able to turn the furnace on or off via the app from anywhere in the house without getting up to actually do it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I actually do. I like how easy is the setup, from installation to programming it! I like that it shows me my daily consumption on the easy to use app! Definitely recommended!

Saves money when I am home and away

Purchased my Nest for my new house when I moved in because the old programmable one didn't make sense for my family's busy life. I work late, my spouse and kids are usually out running errands throughout the week. The Nest has been great for turning down the temps while no one is home and warming up the house before we get home!

Energy Saver

I purchased the Nest Gen 3 thermostat in December of 2017. It was relatively easy to install, and I had it up and running in about 20 minutes -- including the installation and setup of the iPhone app. The Nest is my first programmable thermostat.
On a recent trip to visit relatives in another state, my wife and I were gone for five days. During this time (in the winter) I set the Nest to "Eco Mode" which allowed the temperature in our house to drop to 58 degrees, but not lower (the "not lower than" temperature is user adjustable).
While we were gone, our furnace needed to run only about 15-30 minutes a day (to maintain the 58 degrees), and one day didn't need to come on at all. Thus saving us a good deal of energy ($).
On our return trip, when we were about one hour away from our house, I used my iPhone Nest app to turn the Eco Mode off and by the time we arrived the house temperate was (our preset) 69 degrees.
Since we travel several times a year, this is a very handy energy-saving feature.
I also like the idea of being able to adjust the thermostat temperature up or down via my iPhone should we be "out and about" and the outside temperature turn cooler or warmer than forecast.

During the winter months, we like to sleep with the house temperature cooler at night, but like the temperature warmer in the mornings. My wife gets up earlier than do I. So, I set up a schedule on the Nest app to bring the house temperature up by 4 degrees about 20 minutes before she gets up. That way, she gets up to a warm house (which makes her pleased).

The Nest thermostat is a highly useful product and energy saver. I would highly recommend it, and eagerly purchase it again.
