Great product. I was apprehensive about the install. I usually have trouble with these matters and have to call a professional to complete the mess I started. Surprisingly, by taking my time and You Tube, I was able to complete the install my self (although there was no wall to screw one of the screws requiring that I use a larger screw so the screw was able to grab into something).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful design and functionality

Best product ever! The design is amazing. The ease of installment and use is incredible. I have a home that is almost 100 yrs old and was able to replace the thermostat with no problem. The video walks you through the installation with easy to follow steps. Already have bought the fire and carbon dioxide alarm. Hope to fully equip my home with more of your products!

Great smart device

I installed this nest thermostat myself which is no small feat for me. I love technology but the programming and installation of the recent products is outside my comfort zone. Turns out the nest was very easy to install and program. I was swapping out an old thermostat so everything was already there but the nest instructions made it very easy. Even has a cool little screwdriver. They also include a back plate to cove over the old thermostat place where the paint does not match. Very impressed with how thought out the install process was. I have had the unit installed for several months now and am very impressed with the functionality. I have two units and two nests. The upstairs unit is where my kids hang out and they constantly mess with the temp. The nest has a lockout feature and they have to call me to adjust temp. I then can do it remotely. Awesome!

Beautifully Designed

The Nest Thermostat is as easy to use as it is enjoyable to look at. The user experience in the app and on the thermostat itself is intuitive and convenient. I use the app a TON to adjust the temperature from any room in the house. The installation process and supplementary videos/content available to assist you is unparalleled.
The only issue that I had was with the compatibility assessment. My system had stranded wires instead of solid wires, making my system "incompatible" with the the Nest Thermostat. However, after much research I realized that I could connect solid wires to the stranded wires and use it just fine. I'm sure that many other incompatibility issues are quite final, but be sure to do some research before giving up on this fantastic product.

2nd house, 2nd Nest. One of the first upgrades to the new house. A month without a Nest was a reminder of how simple and convenient using nest is. Recommended to a friend who saved his house with the remote feature after noticing temps dropping during a winter storm while on vacation!
