Nest Learning Thermostat

The thermostat was easy to install. The operating instructions are very easy to follow. It was easy to add it to my network and the app is simple to use. The reports and schedules that the Thermostat creates are very good and contain all needed information.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great upgrade

I really like my new thermostat, particularly the nest aware function. Now my furnace goes off and my camera comes on when I leave the house and vice-versa. It was far easier to program and much easier to update than any pervious thermostat that I have owned. My only criticism is that the included back-plate is a cheap piece of plastic, totally unworthy of the thermostat. If Nest does not want to include a nice one, they should either offer one or sponsor one that is totally compatible. That notwithstanding I would still recommend this to anyone.

Our life is so comfortable now not having to go to the hall to adjust thermostat. At night I turn it down while in bed and morning turn it up while in bed. No more getting up in the cold to adjust thermostat. I can control it away from home. Easy and fun and convenient!!! A+++

I was on the fence about getting these thermostats. They are a bit pricey and I wasn't sure if it would save any money on the electric bill. It saved us money on the electric bill! We had record breaking cold weather recently and I truly believe these nests are the reason that our electric bill wasn't as high as others in the area. Also they just look really good. I haven't had any problems with either of the nests that I purchased so far. Install was super easy. I would highly recommend it.

A Great Piece of Technology

I am a big fan of technology and typically want to be among the first ones to check something out. Shame on me for not buying and installing one of these until the 3rd generation--I thought I was happy with the old school brand "H" manually programmable thermostat. This thing is great! It's features, including the app (for anywhere control) are awesome and easy to use. The only challenge I had was that it was not initially compatible with my furnace using the two wire set up my brand "H" unit did. Luckily, the control wire in my house (from thermostat to furnace) was and 8 conductor cable, which made it easy to designate a "common" wire to complete the installation, even having to add a free standing, separately powered 24 vac transformer. Sounds complicated, but it took me all of 5 minutes to do this once figuring it out and obtaining the transformer. Very happy!!

New Parent Help

I have a newborn. I purchased the Nest Learning Thermostat because I was tired of needing to walk to the thermostat in the middle of the night after diaper changes and feedings. The Nest Learning Thermostat has made it possible for me to lay back down right away and change the temperature from my phone. This was a great purchase as a new parent and I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
