Nice upgrade

Have only owned this thermostat for about 30 days. Will give a more extensive review once I eans me.... one thing I have notice is when it drops the wireless WiFi connection and reconnects, the heater fires up...... noticed that when I come home after being away for 3 - 4 days......

Great Thermostat

When I replaced my old thermostat with the Nest I knew it was going to be better, but the Nest has been an excellent upgrade. With the Away and Airwave features it has really helped to save on AC usage. Highly recommend the thermostat. Also I used the support once and it was first rate, one of the best support lines in the industry.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great thermostat for vacation home

Comforting to be able to monitor and control the temperature of a desert vacation home from a considerable distance. All this ability to daily monitor and control at virtually no added expense because some ISP's leave internet connections active during normal standby periods for this very reason.

Two Version 1 and Two Version 3 models over the years since Nest started. I have never owned anything that I have appreciated more over time when I bought it than this and it improves with updates on its own.

Just buy it

I have had nothing but a positive experience with the nest. I have had it for about 2 years. Works great looks great and learns your schedule and the not home feature works like a charm. So easy to use just install and do a little set up and the nest starts learning and sets the schedule. I have not had an electric bill over 100 dollars and I live in St. Louis. Just buy it’s work the money.

Easy to use and simple device

The Nest learning thermostat is one of the best devices that makes my life simpler by learning the comfortable range of temperature settings, and repeating them in a schedule, thus not needing me to think twice whether the heat is set or not every day. I figured I have saved close to 100$ a season on my heating bills and very close to break even on the ROI on my spend on the thermostat, so a win!

Nest thermostat with SmartThings

I bought and installed a nest thermostat over a year ago. The fit and finish of he thermostat is really nice. It was easy to install and worked perfectly even with my older furnace. I find the features that we really like are the control of the temperature of our home from our smartphones, the scheduling , and the review of our energy usage. We use the motion detection with our SmartThings network

Best Thermostat I've ever owned

It looks sleek and all that, and that may matter to some, but what gets me is the granularity of the History in the app. Knowing when the heater/cooler is running, and for how long is so valuable to me. And it's something that no other thermostat provided before now. And I never want to go without again.
