Fabulous addition

I have two Nest thermostats in my primary home and this has been a wonderful addition to a vacation home. I did use a professional to install both places.

Having fun with Nest in my little 'nest'

We were very happy to have the new Nest installed in our home when we upgraded our a/c and furnace units. I had heard about the Nest, and how easy it was to use. I heard right! The Nest is easy to read, lights up as you walk past it to tell you the temperature currently, and your settings. It's very easy to operate as compared to the old fashioned type where you can hardly see heat from cool.
I've downloaded the app so we can set, or change settings from our phone no matter where we are. If you forget to change the settings at home, it's an easy change from your phone while you're on the road. I would highly recommend the update in thermostats to a Nest!

Nest-set heat and/or cool in same day!

Great smart thermostat!!! I shouldn’t have waited so long to get one, if I knew that I could preset it at a range of comfort to HEAT & COOL, then I would have bought it when it first came out! In the Tucson, AZ desert the temperature swing can be great from 30’s to 80 degrees in same day. Now I don’t have to choose heat, then get home and switch to cool-it does it for me from what I preprogrammed. I had recommendations from NEST for a green energy saving range which helped. I installed it myself-read directions first, so you make sure to turn off house electricity power at fuse box & take a picture of your old wires before you disconnect). I programmed it, then adjusted my range for about 2 weeks; I have been so comfortable that I haven’t touched it since!
I also appreciate that if I go on vacation I can fix the temperature from my smart phone if I forget (which I did a previous summer and costed me at least $200 for not adjusting it in July), since I leave the a/c on for the dog, but need it a few degrees higher so I save money on electric bill. Electric comes at a premium cost in the desert especially in the summer. It gives me a daily report of how long the heat-my gas or A/C-my electric was on. I am excited to see how this really affects my bills. I have already noticed a difference this Fall/Winter. Good stuff!
Now I’m saving to get more Nest products like the carbon monoxide dectector and outdoor camera IQ. Great technology working for me; I like that a lot!

Great so far

We are loving our nest so far! We have had it for over a year and I FINALLY set it up after delaying forever. It was super easy to install with the help of a YouTube video. Excited to see if it helps save us some money!

Easy to put up and understand the wiring its not bad just follow the instructions and hook it up to the internet and set up your nest app on your phone and again flower the instructions its not that bad are call for support love the thing wish i had brought one sooner

Easy to install, set up and use. Love the looks and reports sent monthly. Since installing Nest we never have to mess with thermostat. House is always comfortable.
