it is so confusing. I just want to raise the temp and monitor. I was mislead by the product's capability. How does one turn off the "learning feature"?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest Learning Thermostat is designed to learn from your temperature preferences. Its learning feature ""Auto-Schedule"" learns and then creates schedules for you when the feature is turned on. It can also learn the algorithms for Home/Away Assist. You can turn off this feature by the following the steps below:
With the Nest app:
- Open the Nest app and select your Nest thermostat.
- Select Settings, and then Auto-Schedule.
- Tap the switch to turn it off.
On your thermostat:
- Press the ring and choose Settings, and then Nest Sense, and then Auto-Schedule, and then Off.
Once you turn it off, we suggest clearing all the schedules once again to ensure your thermostat won't kick in based on the logged schedules.
If this doesn’t fix the issue, we may need to take a closer look in order for us to understand this issue. You can always reach out to our support team here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Intuitive and natural

My Nest Learning Thermostat is amazing. I have two: one in my living room and another upstairs in the master bedroom. It has saved me energy and money from the get-go. It’s stylish design fits in any room and stands out while also being minimal. It’s easy to use, and the app makes it easier to set and forget while also being able to monitor its energy usage. The display is gorgeous.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nest is Best

I have used Nest since Version 1 and now have version 3 thermostats with sensors installed in our home. Although every home is different, the new Nest Sensors make a world of difference in acclimating our rooms to the temperature we want and the new Nest with a slightly bigger readout and the sensor feature is great and highly recommended. The results of the sensors are the best!

Absolutely love our Nest thermostat! The install was so surprisingly easy! I was able to do it as a female that has never installed anything like this in my life!!!!! I was so stoked! This has been easy to setup from the get go and has so many features yet keeps its simplicity. It has already learned our pattern of liking it cool when we go to bed and when we have a late night up our Nest gently reminds us with a cool breeze that it is past our bedtime lol. I love Nest products and really really want a Nest cam to compliment the thermostat as well. Very happy with the app integration for the thermostat and can set the temp even when I'm away from home. Seriously go get this! It will not disappoint!

Worth the investment

I have 4 thermostats in my house and purchased 3 nest thermostats. Not only do they look nice, it's so easy to control. The learning is so quick and you definitely see the savings in your heating bill.

Great product design, build and quality. Very easy to setup and does a lot of smart things. Their app has a clean UI and easey to use and monitor.
Overall a SMART thermostat.
