This thermostat is awesome. Install is so easy and takes less then 10mins. It literally walks your way thru it to set it up. The app is also amazing and easy to use.

I love that you can set it and forget it. That's why you buy anything labeled "smart". However this not only is smart, it is also "learning" so that's just amazing. So much is packed in this high quality thermostat. The fact that it pretty much pays for its self in savings from heating and cooling is quite a perk. The ability to change the temperature settings from a smart phone is AWESOME

Amazing thermostat

Amazing is being used very broadly. Amazing ease to install it. There is even a small internal leveler to make sure it is installed correctly. Amazing as in ease of setup configuration. It will work whether internet connected or not. Amazing looks. I installed the copper color dial thermostat and it is stylish as opposed to the usual white, off-white or black color that most manufacturers go for.

Love Nest products

We bought our first Nest thermostat back when they were introduced. I had a job that required us to live overseas and this was the perfect match for what we needed. Since the Nest security cams and Protect came along, we got those too to add to our peace of mind. We've had the thermostat for about 8 years and the Protect and security cams for the past year or so and we've never had a problem.

So far so good. Happy with the quality of the Nest 3rd Gen Thermostat, ease of installation and programming.
Love the user interface.. only questions are will it truly save me money over my old setback Thermostat and will it last.. time will tell and I’ll be happy to revisit the review in a year.

Great Savings

Based on direct comparisons before and after installation of Nest Learning Thermostat using Power Company App I figured I saved $3-$5 a day on air conditioning costs. I would buy another one based on these savings and did for the downstairs. I strongly recommend.

First time with Next

Just installed the 3rd gen Nest Thermostat and couldn't be happier. Installation was super easy, there plenty of instructions and videos available to guide you through the process. Connecting the thermostat to wifi was also easy and the interface was great to navigate. If you're thinking about getting one of these thermostats- go for it, but also shop around for the best price.

Not working

I bought the Nest Learning Thermometer because it was supposed to be compatible with our old furnace. Had an Ontech pro out to install the thermostat, and it powers up and everything but does not actually turn the furnace on for more than a very few minutes at a time, spaced very far apart. It’s cold outside and the house remains in the 50s (Fahrenheit) at night even though the temperature is set to 69F, and during the day the temperature only gets above 60F because it’s sunny out. Waiting for someone to answer my support question about this, but without a person to talk to I cannot recommend the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
