Generally pleased, except

I am generally pleased with this thermostat, it is easy to use and looks nice. The only issue I have is with its “learning”. It will turn on based on recent use patterns. However, we don’t always need heat at those times. I have had to turn off the thermostat to keep it from turning on the heat when we don’t need it. And it does not learn fast enough to know to not turn the heat on. For now, all I need is a dumb device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You may need to check if your Nest Learning Thermostat's Auto-Schedule is turned on. You can check this setting in the app or on your thermostat:
In the app: On the Nest app home screen, select your thermostat and then Settings Nest and then Auto-Schedule.
On your thermostat: Go to Settings and then Nest Sense and then Auto-Schedule

No "auto" setting for fan

I really love the look and cool factor of this thermostat along with all of its features. And there are alot of features at that. So much that you have to really think about how you want to set things up. The one thing that I really dont care for is there is no way to just set the fan to "auto" so that is only kicks on when the heat or ac is on.

Amazingly easy to install

I was worried I'd have to call in (and pay) an electrician to hook up the Nest. Instead, it was quite simple.
Our old system must have come with the house, so more than 25 years old. Once I unscrewed the old thermostat, and blew away all the accumulated dust, I found the color-coded wires and it was child's play to hook up them to the Nest.

Best Ever!!!

Not only is this completely convenient, but it works great. I also have two sensors which are great. They let me know the temps in other rooms of the house. I really love that I can use my iPhone app to set or turn on my thermostat ( if it’s off ) when I’m away from home. It’s like having remote start like I have with my vehicle. :).
I have totally recommended this to my family and friends.
