This is the best thermostat I have ever bought. It does way more than I even know. Very easy to set up.

Nest Meets My Expectations

After researching smart, network connected thermostats, I decided to purchase the Nest. I spent a little time reading the instructions and looking at the videos online. Installation was straight-forward. Connectioning to my network was quick and easy. The device learned our household patterns quickly, and in only a few days it was control things the way I wanted it to without any manual setting from me. The user interface is clever and very intuitive.

4 wire Nest needed to get with the times

Does not let you control Humidity from the Thermostat nor work with 4 wire and giving up a fan function is un expectable in 2021 Our early 2000s Thermostat did both and was only missing the wfi function
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Nest Learning Thermostat has Nest Sense settings, a combination of sensors and algorithms that help your thermostat learn about you and your home. Depending on your system type, you may not find all of the Nest Sense options. See the settings below related to humidity control:
Cool to Dry: When this is on, your thermostat can use your air conditioner or heat pump to help reduce excessive humidity in your home.
Airwave: Airwave is for systems with air conditioning. If you have this setting on, the thermostat automatically turns on Airwave when interior humidity falls below a certain level.

Third generation nest

Excellent installation walkthrough. So far it has very good remote use. The learning feature needs some work but I can understand where it's hard to pick up all human actions. The part that I think is the worst and most disturbing is that it's integration with Google Home thus far seems to be impossible even though they claim it is possible. I have third-party light bulbs that work with Google Home and the Google nest refuses to work with Google Home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks and Works Great

I was given this thermostat as a gift because I am a geek for new technology and I have wanting to save energy and have my home look more high-tech for a while now. Upon receiving the Nest Learning Thermostat, I was excited to open the box and get the unit up and running. From when I opened the box to when I had the unit running was only about an hour. It was easy to figure out how to do everything and Nest's instructions were very helpful. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

So far, I love this thermostat. It was easy to install and the app is simple to use. Can't rate it's energy savings yet but the fact that it connects to the rest of my Google home products is worth it for me.
