Nest: better than the rest

We recently moved in to a new build with a competitive product. It was beyond difficult to set-up, often went online, etc., etc., etc. Someone recommended the Nest and it was so easy to set-up, so easy to control, and intuitive. This is an excellent product, with an ROI already delivered in decreased headaches controlling a poorly set-up thermostat. Easy to use, easier to enjoy.

Easy installation

I was a little worried that the installation would be complicated but it couldn't have been easier. The Nest app asks a few questions to determine your HVAC system setup and then leads you through the process step-by-step, including pictures. It even runs through some system tests to make sure you've done it right. Anyone who can hold a screwdriver can install a Nest thermostat in minutes.

Missing one setting that would make it perfect

I didn’t realize there was no HOLD setting. I’d have to take a huge step back and buy just the plain thermostat.

Save money on first day 3 bills already

Awesome product! I have already saved an average of $50 a month on my first three gas bills. And this was durning some of the coldest months in a long while. Just using one learning thermostat right now plan to buy a second for my upstairs. Really wish Nest would let the non learning thermostat use the learning ability of my current learning thermostat but I guess I’ll just have to spend the extra money on the learning thermostat.

Best solution for us as remote AC control. Very easy to install. Just keep track of the connections 7 digit code for family members connecting the Nest later.
