Easiest installation ever!

I received this and was ecstatic, first I read the instructions to see the difficulty level. There really isn't a difficulty level and I am not even a contractor but I do most of my work around my home. I installed the Nest Learning Thermostat in between innings of a baseball game that I was watching. I finished before the commercial was over. Yep, it was that quick of an installation.

Love this thermostat!

I have only had the Gen 3 for a few days, so this review may be a little premature. So far I love it. It took about 25 minutes to install it and that included removing my old thermostat. Written instructions were very good and included a link to the online instructions, which were the best I have ever seen! It appears to be operating perfectly, but it is still learning our heating preferences. I may update this review when I have more experience with it.

Great product and gift idea

Installed unit in less than 15 minutes and got a second one as a gift to parents for Christmas, they loved the fact that you can adjust temp from phone or tablet thru app. Been using mine now for 3 months and couldn’t be happier.

Finally got this!!!

I've been wanting to get one so bad. I kept putting it off, until our HVAC unit needed to be replaced (16 years old). The AC/Heater company we used had this as an option. So, I took it. After getting to play around with it, it truly is miles better than the standard thermostat. This is probably the new standard in new construction homes. If it's not, it should be.

Easy installation for an amateur, good test sequence, sharp appearance, brought our home Hvac system into the 21st century. Love tha app. Quality product all around. Loved the backing plate to cover old thermostat mounts. Our son recommended it to us because he was so pleased with his. He was spot on. Would and will recommend to others.
