Worth the money spent.

At least I was very scared to buy the Nest more cost then anything. Love the Nest app and Eco away mode. My bill has gone down by a good amount.

Nest Thermostat

I'm a fairly competitive guy and just received my report on how my nest functioned / saved compared to other local users. I did well but have some room for improvement. Point is, I would never have known how my household usage compares to others without this report. So now I get to compete to generate savings. I wont win this race because I will be comfortable but I will look for way to make the home more efficient so the hvac unit kicks on less and now I have a method to measure my progress against. That is cool and not what I was expecting from a simple thermostat. Loving this thing!

This is a great product, the phone app works well. My only hesitation about this product is that it tends to incorporate changes to temp into the schedule quickly. For me this has meant that some temporary heat increases (because I was home working, and wanted it warmer than usual), have become part of the schedule, only noticed by me because I happened to check my Nest app while away on a following day, and had to reset the schedule so that the temp would not go up each day at that time. In this way, the Nest has actually resulted in more heat use since installation. I like that I CAN turn my heat down while away, in case I forget, but I don't like that it has turned itself up without my knowledge on several occasions.

Its one of the best purchases i made for my home!
Its great using the app to change the temp in my home,I also love the weather outside info as well!

We got one of the learning thermostats for our Winter home in Florida.
We got it for two reasons:
1) We wanted it to adjust the temperature based on our comings and goings in the house.
2) We wanted to be able to set the temperature when we're away for long periods and be able to monitor it from an app.

Both reasons we bought it are doing the job perfectly. Ready to buy another one for MD.

From the 60's to 2018

I just updated my house that hasn't been updated since it was built in the 1960's. The electric bill can speak for itself as the costs to heat then cool my home in the spring dropped exponentially. Try it out you may love the high-tech lifestyle that'll save you money.
