Works!

Generation 3 works as advertised. House is always at a much more comfortable temperature than before. Also using the temperature sensor which works well. They need to fix the rigid scheduling for the sensor but it does work well. Was a breeze to set up and looks so good in the house. Highly recommend!

Great Wall decoration. Keeps area at set temperature. Have not gotten it to “learn” our temperature preferences. Needs more instructions to use as advertised

Hi Catfish, thanks for the time posting a review. We’re sorry that your Nest Learning Thermostat has not learned your temperature preferences yet.
The Nest Learning Thermostat can learn your daily routine and automatically create a temperature schedule for you. If you prefer to enable learning so it can automatically adjust its temperature, you can turn Auto-Schedule on. With Auto-Schedule, your Nest thermostat learns what temperatures you like at different times of the day. After a few days of learning, your thermostat will prepare a schedule for you. In order to learn, your thermostat needs to have Auto-Schedule turned on. You can check this setting in the app or on your thermostat.
- In the app: On the Nest app home screen, select your thermostat > Settings > Auto-Schedule.
- On your thermostat: Go to Settings > Nest Sense Auto-Schedule.

A wonderful gift!

My Nest Learning Thermostat was a Christmas gift and it's been a blessing. At 76, I'm home all day and constantly wanting to adjust the temperature. Being able to do so with my phone and not having to get up from the couch each time is a huge convenience. I'm probably driving the "learning" part of the thermostat crazy with my irregular patterns and thwarting its "eco" settings, but so be it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for the Ever-Changing Texas Weather

My fiance and I rented an older house. The thermostat was out of date and took forever to heat or cool the home. I read that the Nest was good for rent houses and since it was a learning thermostat, I figured it could work to help get our house to where it needed to be with how often our weather fluctuates here in Texas. I wasn't wrong, this thing is fantastic. It has already saved us money!

Simple and Powerful

This was a very easy product to install, get connected and start controlling. The compatibility page makes it easy to know your house is ready. Connecting to the Nest app is a breeze via a code. There aren't many products that I feel that are as advertised. But I have to give this one credit. You will not regret giving this a try.

The Nest really surpassed our expectations on how easy it is to use and very easy to install. We really love the app for the smart phone. It allows us to adjust temps while we are away from home or even from another location in the house if we don't want to walk to where the Nest is. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend!!
