I had been eyeing this model for quite sometime as well as talked to a few people who are current users. The setup was so easy. There is a video tutorial and the app walks you through. So Google makes it easy if you are a DIY-er.
The operation of the device is easy to understand and operate. Non techie individuals in your home should feel really comfortable with using it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I work for a very large SW/HW manufacturer in the U.S. - My main focus is to ensure an excellent experience for our-end users that use our products. I _KNOW_ good design, and what it takes to achieve that end-user experience. It's hard. It takes sleepless nights and hard work. The Nest team has done it. It's amazing. Not perfect, but amazing (that's a classical "A"). Good job team.

Love my Nest

I love the nest thermostat. It keeps my home at a more consistent temperature. It is easy to use. The app makes it easy to adjust the house temp before I get home and allows me to turn on the heater before actually having to get out of bed.

The nest took 5 minutes to install, we are saving $20 a month on our electric bills. We are very happy with the ease of use, the app and nest website make changing the temp very easy. Definitely would recommend

I purchased the Nest learning thermostat a couple months ago and absolutely love this product. The away feature is great when on vacation and it actually does since when someone is home. Great product Nest.
