New to Nest

It's a fun product, like a Tesla it's about 80-90 finished at any given time. It doesn't allow you to run a true diagnostic test. This is key when troubleshooting a complex HVAC environment. If you just need a thermostat it's great! It's algorithms take longer to learn our patterns than I thought and I can't find a vacation mode that leaves the temp at one setting while gone. Big question, would I do it again? Maybe? I find a 7 day programmable more effective than a nest. But a nest does give you the cool factor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest Learning Thermostat should have a good idea of your patterns after about a week or so if they have a consistent routine. Sudden changes to your usual routine will change the previously learned algorithms, and it will continue to learn your new routines, but it won’t adapt immediately.
While you’re on vacation, we suggest setting your Nest Learning Thermostat on ECO temperatures. You can set your ECO temperatures based on your preference, so the system will turn on/off when it needs to.

Great product

Easy to use either at the thermostat or on the application. Nice being able to monitor our home while away. It gives a good piece of mind knowing the heat is functioning properly in the winter while away for extended periods. I also believe I have saved on my energy bill by its smart thinking.

Super Easy

We werent completely sure at first about the Nest thermostat because it read temperatures much differently than our previous thermostat. Over the course of a couple of days tho it got used to our home and the temperatures and now seems to fall in line with temperature readings from our previous thermostat. I actually love this thermostat because we can adjust it from ANYWHERE
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful and easy to use

The title of my review really says it all. I love the look, automatically improves the look of my house. The app is awesome and I love that I never have to worry about if I turned the AC up after I left for work or to go out. My wife loves that she can change the temp when it’s too cold for her without having to get out from under the covers. Overall it’

Love it! Super simple to install and operate. Had 1 wire plugged into the wrong slot and the diagram on the Nest showed me how to correct it

Owned five devices since inception

I’ve owned five Nest thermostats With three currently operational. I like the units because they are easy to setup and adjust. I have had to replace two units, one had a bad battery which I tried to replace but failed, and another that just plain failed. The failures I believe were premature when you consider the unit cost. But I like the way they work so I purchased replacements. so 4 stars.

Very Simple Device

I was able to install both my Nest Learning Thermostats in my house in least than 30 minutes. The instructions that the App gives you walk you through everything step by step and even give you a compatibility chart before opening the box. My wife loves the thermostats and the app is great.

Best thermostat on the market

Can’t say enough about the Nest. It’s super efficient, keeps us more comfortable, and looks sleek. The app is fantastic. The third party apps are great too as I regularly adjust my temperature from my Apple Watch. Would recommend to anyone
