Best Thermostat

This is my second Nest thermostat, I had I guess an older model and moved to an apartment and didn't install that one. But now I am back in a home and my electric bill (summers in Texas) is getting to look a little out of control. I saw that there was another generation and thought I would upgrade. Thus far it has been as I expected. I am looking forward to what my electric bill will look like.

Easy to install though I had to call support as my wiring was different than the app walkthrough. Works as intended and has more features than really needed on a thermostat. It looks great on the wall without being too Sci-fi looking. My only gripe is the eco mode needs a scheduled shut off so my house can be cooled off by the time I get home not when it notices I'm home.

Great way to monitor your home's energy use

This is a great first product to try out - it helps to monitor your home's energy use and hopefully cut down on wasted energy when you are out of the home. The thermostat will adjust to your schedule so that you can set it for when you are away and even if you go away long term. If you suddenly have to be away for longer periods, you have access to the thermostat from the apps. Great ideas!

The Nest was super easy to install (took less than 30 minutes) and it looks great. I love the learning function and how easy it is to use. The corresponding app is slick and easy to navigate. I highly recommend this product.

1st Purchase for the new house.

I have now had 3 versions of the Nest over many years. The first one was great and it helped as a selling point on the first and second house. When moving into our new home, it was the first purchase we made to get ride of the standard cheapo one that not only did not look good, but had a fraction of the features.
