Manual vs Auto

I am used to a programmable thermostat. This model is nice and seems efficient, however I would like to program it for Monday-Friday, morning and evening and separate from Saturday and Sunday. There is a calendar on it, but it for the calendar months. For example if I programmed it as I described above, in one week, I would have to continue to program it. The ECO part of it is nice however, if the thermostat doesn’t detect motion, it doesn’t program for comfort level if you are reading a book or taking a nap. I think it needs better options.

I’ve owned many learning thermostats

I’ve have had multiple smart thermostats and I’ve enjoyed the Nest the most. It looks great in my home but isn’t a focal point. Very easy to use and set up. I really enjoy the monthly updates I receive, especially the videos of the month with my nest camera.

It's a terrible product!

It is the most frustrating product. It is impossible to "set" the thermostat at any given temperature. You have to guess what the weeks weather is going to look like and then schedule it in great detail. I have Nest on one floor and a good old fashioned no frills thermostat on another floor. The old fashioned one works a treat. Nest is just impossible. It's either freezing or boiling! Who designed such a retrograde product??!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love my nest thermostat! It is so easy to set up and easy to use! I have purchased thermostats in the past to replace my old one and i could never get them set up correctly. Nest was so easy to set up, it literally took about 5 mins! Get one you wont be disappointed.
