I didn't think that it would be so attentive to our activity. It does a great job adjusting to our habits and wants and the expense average has already gone down. If I wasn't so frugal/cheap I would have picked it up sooner.

The Nest Thermostat pays for itself while learning your schedule it gets up before you do to warm up the house. it knows when you are not home and shuts down if left on. Easily available to adjust on you phone app.
