Best smart home device

The fact that it will control dual “multiple” systems in one home makes this my number one pick. I had two thermostats before. One to control my oil furnace and one to control my heat pump and ac. Now that I have this, the best knows exactly which system to be most cost efficient. Great job to the brains behind this ingenious invention. Hands down my favorite smart home feature.

Nice Thermostat

This Nest Thermostat was on my radar for 2 seasons before I purchased it as I tend to over research things before I buy them. I can say with all honesty that I have zero regrets in this purchase. Installation was a breeze as I don’t think it took no more than 15-20 minuets max. It looks good on my wall, but most of all I like that I can turn it on and off from my phone wherever I am. I set it to away/eco when I am gone, and when I am on my way home from work, I turn the eco off and turn my heat up remotely. By the time I get home, my house is comfortable. Also, when the kids are home, you can check to be sure they haven’t cranked up the heat or AC past the point necessary to be comfortable. If they have, just readjust the temperature yourself from your phone. I would recommend this thermostat to anyone interested in upgrading your heating and cooling capabilities.

Easy to set up, too. I’ve had no issues with the app, it’s pretty straight forward.
So easy to control the heat/AC from anywhere and that helps to save electric.

The smart home and away feature is where it's at. It's makes a schedule that's going to truck along like any other programmable unit but when you have a sick day or for holidays it's going to know you're home so you don't have to think about it. It's probably not saving any more energy but we are more comfortable while saving that energy.
