I bought it because I want a smart home and I received it 1 weeks ago. The best way to set it up is to start with the thermostat and entering the information as is asking in the device, and open the nest account in a laptop, working in both at the same time and finally in the app in your phone. Now my home is at 50 F when I am working and 1 hour before arrive I programmed to increase until 70 F.

This thermostat does everything I want in a thermostat. Really like the away feature and being able to monitor and adjust while being away.

Better than expected

Easy hook up and love the Home and Away feature. I live alone and am gone a lot for work and I set my own schedule so I don't have a usual routine. So Home and Away is by far the best way for me to save energy without the hassle of trying to remember to adjust the unit manually.
