Intuitive and helpful

I just purchased the 3rd generation Nest in order to upgrade from the first generation Nest, though the old one still works perfectly. I find it easy to use, helpful to adjust when away from home, and it works across other applications and devices. It's a great product and I purchased the smoke detector from Nest as well. I will probably get the cameras, as I love your products!

Huge upgrade from my old thermostat

This thermostat plus the remote sensor was just what I needed to control the temperature in a room away from where the main thermostat was located. Installed by myself in under 30 minutes and it worked flawlessly. Easily integrated into my wifi and the app allows control from anywhere. I can change the sensor that governs the settings whenever necessary to better control the temperature.

Very good thermostat but...

I have had this Google Nest Learning Thermostat for approximately 1 year. I have had to request a replacement twice. The first time the wireless chip stopped working then last month the thermostat no longer told the HVAC system to produce cold air. The thermostat displayed blue but only hot air was distributed through my home. We test and confirmed it was the Google Nest thermostat by removing the Nest thermostat and installing a standard Honeywell thermostat. For as much as the Google Nest Learning thermostat costs, I would have thought Google would have produced a better product. I am hoping there will be no more problems with this Google Nest Learning thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No clear instructions to download. Device resets itself even when not enabled to do so.

Best Thermostat I have owned

Thinking of things to get for your home, changing your thermostat usually isn’t on the top of your priority list. I’ve always been an early adopter to technology and have been super happy with my Nest Thermostat as well as my other Nest products.
I has paid for itself within a short amount of time with the savings of my systems knowing when my HVAC system doesn’t need to run if no one is home.
I would recommend this to a friend!
