I love my Nest Thermostat. Possibly the best part about it is how it learns what you like for temperatures in the house and keeps things in that range. It's one less thing for me to think about during the day. Remote management from a smart device is quick and easy. I often jump on to kick the fan on and circulate the air. The Nest is one of the best improvements I've made to my house!

Easy to Install and Easy to Operate

No need to fight with antiquated thermostats of the past anymore, where you need two advanced degrees in Fortran to program them, and then reprogram when the batteries die. Essentially set it and forget it with the Nest, and if you need to change something, just do it from the App.

Finally, a modern looking thermostat that works amazingly. I love that I can set a schedule and that it knows when we are home and adjusts the temp itself.

Easy

Got my Nest for free via my energy company. Was fairly simple to install myself. Took about 30 minutes start to finish. Setting it up was easy as well. The app is great, love being able to remotely control my Nest. Love the farsight feature. Overall definitely recommend.

The e learning nest has been a great purchase. It already has reduced furnace usage and that will translate into monetary savings.

Installation challenges

May not be your issue but my installer had a lot of issues getting dehumidification wired properly. Not sure if it was a documentation issue. They were connecting it to a Bosch FHA system heat pump. Eventually got it to work but it too three visits by the technicians.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
