Great Product

Four years ago we had a NEST thermostat installed. Recently the thermostat started to have problems so we purchased a nw NEST Learning Thermostat and our installer, ACMAN, said that we will be very happy with the extra performance. Can't wait because we loved our first one and look forward to even better A1 driving our cooling performance. Having the house temp configured to our needs is terrific

An average thermostat; Google can do better

This is an average thermostat. It has features you would expect from a 'smart' thermostat, but falls short on a few counts. First, if you want other family members to have access via a phone, they need to download a separate app rather than the Nest, so that creates a compatibility issue. You want the user experience to be the same across the family, but it honestly is not. Second, the learning feature can irritate. Sometimes it feels you are wrestling with the learning thermostat for who wants control. That is an area for google to allow better user control. Third the ring dial feature can irritate as it is not intuitive and friendly. It is combination of ring dial plus press, which is confusing as you want it either or. So that experience needs to be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest Learning Thermostat should have a good idea of your patterns after about a week or so if they have a consistent routine. Sudden changes to your usual routine will change the previously learned algorithms, and it will continue to learn your new routines, but it won’t adapt immediately.
For newly created accounts, each family member needs to download the Google Home app in order to add them. After adding them, everyone should be able to use the Nest App to control the thermostat.

Quality product with great looks

Our family has been using Nest products for years. We have them in our two houses so we can monitor them from anywhere there is phone service. In our new home we have all Nest products for monitoring safety and security. I have found the installation and integration to be straight forward and easier than other comparable products.
Nest Labs continues to improve and over products for the safety

Amount of functionality and options surprised me. I have had it for only three days but it’s nice to change temp without getting out of bed . So far I am very pleased with it. I only gave four stars cause it does not look as beautiful as the picture on line

I love our new nest learning thermostat! I purchased it to replace an older programmable thermostat in a house we just bought. It was not difficult to install and directions are easy to follow. The ease of use is great, and I especially love the fact that I can adjust temp from my phone when away from home.
The thermostat ‘learned’ our schedule in just a few days.
