Neat Nest

It’s modern, sleek, and most of all uses newer technology to save you money. It’s easy to set up and comes with everything one would need to install it properly. The app is easy to use and this product works well with Alexa. Hopefully Nest and Siri will get on speaking terms sometime soon though. Just buy it already. You’re reading this because your electricity bill was outrageous this month.

Excited about a thermostat?

I never anticipated being excited about a thermostat, but the Nest Learning Thermostat is the odd exception. It's a really excellent piece of tech. Very constructed, and incredibly easy to install. I tend to overthink first time installations and take forever, and it only took me about a half hour to install. The built in level in the mounting bracket was a nice touch...
The design is simple and surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. It goes beyond just looking better than the original yellowing plastic basic unit we had; i'd say it actually makes the house look better.
It's incredibly easy to program/adjust on the app, the webpage and the unit itself. If we end up going to bed earlier than usual, it's nice to be able to just grab a phone or tablet and adjust the temp accordingly. The feedback it shares about system run time is great, and it'll be interesting to see how the data compares as we perform home upgrades like insulation and window replacements. The charted use data encourages you (well, me) to almost make a game of efficient operation.
I purchased my thermostat with support from an incentive program, thinking "Eh, it'll be convenient to have extra control over heating and air..." I ended up much more pleased with the device than anticipated.

Simple. Easy. Ideal.

I received my Nest Thermostat as a gift on Christmas and I have been impressed from the start. I am amazed by how much care and consideration went into design and customer experience down to the details of the organization of the supporting documentation when I opened the box. From there, it was a breeze to install and start using the Thermostat. It does a wonderful job of learning our patterns, but I can just as easily adjust the temperature to what I like via my phone app. For those who are seeking savings, this is the first time I have really been provided with the data to do so, completely understanding the amount of time my units spend online so that I can adjust temperatures to reduce those times. I am excited for the possibilities this device holds, as well as the applications, to analyze and improve my home. I also intend to continue to expand my home's capabilities with the Nest brand, as they have proven themselves with the thermostat.

Control it anywhere and anytime

The thermostat is easy to set up and easy to connect to your smart devices such as Alexa and your smart phone. It looks great and it works great. The temperature is easy to read and anytime of day or night, it really has a great interface. Very user-friendly. I look forward to it saving me money.

The next level of thermostat

After two months of owning the nest thermostat I am impressed and satisfied with this purchase.
Pros:
Can be adjusted remotely via the app. Voice via alexa, Google home, etc.. As well as at the thermostat.

Sleek design looks great.
Easy of use.
Notified me that my furnace was short cycling.
Cons:
A bit pricey.
A bit pricey.
App. doesn't always respond like it should. Example says there is no power to the thermostat, however upon closing and reopening connects to the thermostat.

We love our nest!

We brought our first baby home in October and received the Nest for Christmas. It has made adjusting the temperature to make sure he’s comfortable such a breeze. I can’t wait to start getting data from having it track everything and see if we can get some rebates this summer.
