i was using an old thermostat that was in the house when i bought it but i spend a lot of time away from home so now i can control the nest from wherever i am, it is so easy to use i should have upgrraded a long time ago, now it will not only save on electricity but also keep me satisfied that my home is under control when it comes to heating and air conditioning. it also works with alexa.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchase a Nest thermostat yesterday. Installing the thermostat was easy and was completed in less than 20 minutes. I downloaded the Nest App for my phone prior to buying the item to check out the App. Set up the account and when I was ready to connect my new device it could not have been easier. Wish I had installed this earlier.

Nest learning thermostat - loved it!

So glad I bought it and definitely would recommend it! This way I can keep the temperature down during the day, but make sure it's nice and warm when I get home. Also if the kids are home before I get there, or all day, I can check from my phone to make sure they haven't cranked the heat up while I'm gone. If they have I'm able to turn it back down to a reasonable temperature from wherever I'm at!

Absolutely a must for anyone with a crazy schedule and you find yourself traveling a lot. I can adjust the temperatures prior to getting home from a long trip. It learns your patterns for what temperatures you like at night and without having to do it yourself, the Nest has already started cooking your house. It’s an awesome product and definitely worth the money!
