Great Thermostat

I am extremely happy with my Nest Learning Thermostat. It delivers on all of the marketing promises made. It has worked without any problems since the day we installed it. I would highly recommend it to others.

Easy to install, easy to program a schedule and super attractive hanging on the wall. I bought the one with the Copper ring around it and it’s super sharp. Haven’t figured out how to use it with my Dot yet, but I also haven’t needed to since I control it through my phone via the app when necessary.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor, pure junk.

I bought a good thermometer, tested for accurate reading and found the best to be off by 5 degrees Fahrenheit there is no offset on the nest. So if you buy one be ready to guess at the temp in your house. For the money this is junk! I wouldn't want anyone to buy this until it's made better

Hi Thomas, we're sorry to hear that your Nest Learning Thermostat is not giving accurate temperature readings. There can be several reasons why this may be happening.
A difference of a couple of degrees is acceptable as your benchmarking temperature on Nest Learning Thermostat. But greater differences do need attention. Below are some steps that may help you with the issue:
- Restart the thermostat by pressing the display until it shows a black screen and wait until it's back up and running. A restart should be sufficient to re-calibrate them and show an accurate value.
- Nest thermostats in the U.S. and Canada are typically installed on a wall. Check for proximity of the thermostat to: air vents / electrical outlets / appliances / plumbing (hot water pipes) / warm air in the wall behind the thermostat. This may also affect the reading for the temperature.
- Some wireless access points cause the Nest thermostat’s Wi-Fi chip to overheat, which affects the thermostat’s detected ambient temperature. We can disconnect the network for 24 hours and monitor the temperature.

I was originally very hands on with the device to ensure that I was getting the best performance. That was the wrong thing to do, because it quickly took care of itself.

I’m not very good at installing anything , that says I was able to install this My nest thermostats in 30 minutes . It works past promise I it’s saving me money .
