Great thermostat for your home/workplace

I had already heard about the Nest Learning Thermostat but was skeptical about its advantages. We used a technician service to install it so I cannot say much about this.
But once it was installed, everything was intuitive and easy. The device itself and the app make it easy to set temperatures and schedule, at home or remotely. And that's all you can want from a thermostat. I fully recommend it.

Was good - Not so much now

The thermostats started out great. We have a large house so we have 5 and plenty of experience with them. At first they worked great with our radiant heat system, predicting the time to heat the thermal mass (concrete floors) and not making it so hot that it over shot the temp. At some point last year it stopped pulling accurate outside temperatures in our area from google weather. It was often showing 10 degrees colder outside than what the google weather showed. This caused it to heat far beyond the anticipated temperature. We verified the correct zip code and also reset up a couple to see if it could be fixed. Searched the internet and tried all solutions and nothing worked. Ended up just using another zip that is somewhat close and it works somewhat better. The next issue is that some have stopped connecting WiFi. We tried connecting them to another separate router. Failed. After some research the problem is the batteries are failing. Low voltage = No WiFi.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Extremely happy with the unit easy to install and setup. Large enough display that you can see from a distance and very attractive looking

Easy Install with my old boiler setup

I had this stat connected in minutes to my oil boiler, baseboard heat system. I have only two wires red and white with Taco zone valves and no C wire. Was so easy. I bought an Ecobee stat last year that didn't work with my system and their tech support had me buying fast stats and relays that still wouldn't work.
So this stat fixed my issue of a smart stat and no C wire! I have ordered two more
