The installation was simple. I had a wire slip out of its slot during installation which caused the HVAC system to operate incorrectly. I used the chat feature and got immediate and helpful assistance. I was impressed by the customer service and ease in correcting MY error for the installation.
We will definitely purchase another product from NEST
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use technology

I love this product so much I bought two for my house, one for my business and one for my mother. Saves on the bills, get a discount with comed, and it learns when your away and at home. Best purchase of 2019.

Nest learning thermostats learn when to turndown the temperature but are weak on when to turn the thermostats back up

For maintaining our homes comfort and HVAC no matter if we are home or away, I can’t imagine using anything else. We have zones and our three Nest Thermostats continually delivers. We have no doubts by our monthly reports we receive fine Nest that in our first year we have recouped half of our investment and by the end of the second year, we will be ahead. Everything it does, it does well.

Great smart thermostat overall but a bit quirky

First of all I love Google products. I have the Google Hub and smaller units throughout my house. I've wanted a smart thermostat for years and finally got the 3rd generation Nest thermostat. It's a pretty little unit and I love being able to change the temperature in my house from my phone using the Nest app or just speaking into the nearest google unit in my house. It does have one drawback. The smarter you make a product the more likely something will malfunction. I've received 3 separate error codes telling me my rh (power) wire isn't receiving power. I've went into the unit, fiddled with the wires and after some tinkering got it working again. Going on youtube I discovered this seems to be a pretty common problem. People have found everything from a tripped floater valve to needing a C wire to fix the problem. In any case I'm waiting on my AC guy as I write this. It's working fine now but I need to know I can trust it to work if I leave my house for multiple days.

Was so easy to install

I got the thermostat for Christmas and was hesitating on installing. Thought it would be too long and tedious. Boy was I wrong! It took about 15 minutes and my 11 year old son installed it all by himself! He was bored, since we are under quarantine he though he would do it! Love just how easy it was to program, he did this too! And it looks nice on the wall.
