Simply great!

The NEST is such a useful device and so easy to install! I had first thought of getting once after a power failure at home while traveling that resulted in frozen pipes. With the NEST, I can set the temperatures based on my schedule. I can monitor the temperature from my smartphone to make sure the temperature is constant and react quickly if it is not. I can also increase or decrease the temperature based on weather conditions and my planned time for arrival and/or departure. Eliminates stress and anxiety!

Best Thing in my house

I love my nest, I travel for work. So I am able to control my home temperature from any where in the world. Best thing I have done to my home in a very long time.
I can't wait to add more products.

Keeps the house like we want it.

We purchased the Nest as a replacement for a standard thermostat. We are hoping it will help us reduce our cooling and heating bill. We live in SW Florida. The other desire we had for the thermostat was the capability to adjust the temperature with our phones and by talking to our Amazon Aelxa system. Now we don't have to get up and down to change the thermostat everytime we want it to be a little warmer or cooler. We have not had the Nest long enough to determine if we are saving any money. We like the convenience. The setup was pretty easy. They provide good instructions and tools to make the switch easy. If you are afraid of messing up the wiring, they provide tags for each color wire from the old thermostat. You don't have to worry about screwing the wires into the new Nest, because you just push them into the terminals. The hard part I found was in the mounting on the wall. The old thermostat used a light switch box vs a square electrical box. This required me to devise a new mount. Not too difficult, but a hassle. I think if I had a square box it would have been much easier. The documentation is good, however, I would like to have had been able to download a printed copy to have handy. Reading help files on a phone or on my PC was not as convenient as having them in my hand. I recommend the Nest. I am thinking of buying another one for the other heating and cooling unit in the house.

My Nest was installed yesterday and I love it. I shy away from installing anything that has electrical wires, so I contacted a professional installer from a list provided by Nest. The installer was courteous and efficient. He reviewed Nest’s features with me and I read the material provided by Nest. Then I familiarized myself with all of the settings by pushing and turning the Nest ring. I like walking past the thermostat and seeing it light up to display the current outside temperature and the days forecast. I’m looking forward to being very cozy with Nest.
