Way easier that I thought it woudl be!

I am a technical person so the set up for my phone and my Google home I was looking forward to, not a handyman, so I was not looking forward to replacing my thermostat. I put off buying a nest for years because of this fear. I finally gathered the courage and bought one! It was so easy! Nest gave me a link to a video that told me everything to expect. It went exactly like they spelled it out!

New Nest Learning Thermostat for wej

Our old (ancient!) thermostat died. I wanted a replacement that would sync w my Abode alarm and Alexa. This was on sale and I read mostly positive reviews. It was easy to install. Although there was no power for the unit at the wall-mount location, it was not actually needed to make the unit work properly. This was a pleasant surprise; otherwise I’d have had to install one from the AC/heater. The unit was installed in the fall, when the AC is no longer needed and there’s no call for the heater. So, I haven’t really had opportunity to train the unit. I hope that learning will continue to occur throughout the life of the thermostat and I’m not limited to simply the first couple weeks for learning to occur. Otherwise, I’ll have to reprogram it to learning mode. If I have opportunity to follow up this review, I will describe how that worked for me after the wx turns cold.

My winter nest

I bought the nest to control my winter home. I am so happy to be able to control the temperature on my phone to prevent pipes bursting during freezing temperatures. It hard when you are a seasonal resident. It’s also nice to be able to warm up the house prior to my arrival! Thanks Nest!

Great product

The Nest thermostat has been a life changer for our home. It helped us decrease our electric bill by learning our habits and turning on/off our heat/AC only when needed. Forgot to turn off your AC while leaving the house on a hot day? No problem! Nest turns it off for you because it knows your not home. Yet it still maintains the temperature of the home at a reasonable level with the Eco feature.

Nest equals energy savings

Great product, easy to use, love the app. Best feature is the integration of the nest thermostat, app and our phone gps. When we leave the house it goes into economical mode automatically. It turns back on when we get home based upon our gps Location. This has saved us greatly on our energy bills in hot South Texas!

Great thermometer!

I just recently bought the Nest thermometer and finally put it up. I was worried about hooking it up correctly but everything was very well explained and programming it was fairly easy. It still has to get used to my different temps that I use throughout the day but it is learning. I would recommend this as anyone can install it correctly if you follow the instructions.

I’m 69 and this was easy to install as it came with step by step instructions. Very glad I selected the Nest thermostat and will eventually get the Nest door bell
