I have used programmable thermostat through the years. The Nest is a giant step forward with helping me control both temperature, more Important the use of energy and the cost.

Easy Install works with my 4 wire system

I was able to get the Nest installed in about 35 minutes, including patching and touching up the paint! It works with my 4-wire system 20 year old furnace and a/c. Best feature - turning down the heat via the app after we’ve left town (oops and turning the heat back up to return to a warm home. Be sure to label your wires before disconnecting the old thermostat. Easy!

The nest is easy to set up and use. The menus are intuitive and simple. It has worked very well so far and the learning nature of it is something that I underestimated until now. I really like how it cools the house down at night and let's the temp creep back up right before we wake up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to install and monitor

As far as replacing current thermostat it was very easy and simple to do, look forward to being able to monitor closely now. I have teenage kids that are always changing temp and I hope this helps me control that while providing a good temp.
Need a bigger cover to replace old one without painting.

Best thermostat

We got this thermostat to replace an older programmable thermostat that was here when we bought the house. Due to someone having incorrectly wired our heat pump, I had a Google HVAC installed install the thermostat. If the wiring had been done correctly, then I can say that it would be fairly easy to do the installation. The thermostat works great. It keeps the house comfortable

Love the temperature sensor feature

I only have one thermostat for a multi-story townhouse. But with a temperature sensor in the bedroom, my Nest keeps air flowing to even out the temps and always keep it comfortable. Love it!
