Bought this at a discount from my energy company and love it. Install and set up were fairly easy. It starts learning immediately, I hardly have to touch it now.

A necessary upgrade for the modern home

The Nest thermostat line is a no-brainer in the modern, connected world. On vacation and can't remember if you turned down the thermostat? Do it from the road. Want to override programming because you'll be gone later than usual? You can do that from anywhere. And it's probably going to do that stuff automatically, anyway.

Easier than the old thermostat

I was a little apprehensive installing a thermostat in ac rental but it's already worth it. It was easy to install and set up. The display is easy to read and the app means I won't even have to go look at it. My thermostat is in a really awkward place. I like the emergency on off features. I have reptiles and fish. If I'm out and something happens the nest will issue I don't come home to death.

We are a 2 Nest Family.

We were so pleased with the first Nest thermostat that we now have one on each unit of our 2-story home. We are retired and travel. We can monitor the functions from anywhere in the world on our Ipad. It maintains summer and winter temps even when we are a continent away.
The lower level thermostat has learn our schedule and turns itself off after we have retired and is ready to go to work when we come down in the morning.

The Nest thermostat is my first Nest product and was very easy to install.
The installation instructions were simple and easy to understand.
My installation time was around 35 minutes.
I was blown away at how fast the internet connection was established and the simple progression of steps to complete the set up.
I am looking forward to obtaining my next Nest product.

So Easy To Use, Even My Mother Can Do It!

It's true. My mother is afraid to touch a loaf of bread for the fear she might cause irreparable damage. But now that I have a Nest Thermostat in the house, she changes the temperature like a beast! No more listening to her whine that it's too cold in the basement -- with a swift flip of her wrist she changes that temp from 68 all the way to a nice balmy 70! All. By. Herself. A+ Highly Recommend

So this is my first technical smart upgrade from a regular thermostat and honestly it's really awesome. I know most of everyone will be like I got this fancy upgrade last week. But let me tell you it's a better one then the one we previously had we this dinosaur looking thermostat and we honestly weren't sure it was even compatible so thank goodness for instructions. Ladies this is simple enough for you to do as well without your men. Google app gives you step by step walk through instructions on if its compatible and how to set up from there.
