I bought my first nest about 7 years ago and I loved it from the start. My wife is slow to warm up to new technology but when we moved to a new home last month she was first to ask if she should buy us a new nest. I am very happy with my new nest. I love automation device integrations. I love IFTTT recipes. Nest does these well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product

Love the look and the ease of use of the nest thermostat. It was installed within minutes. It learned our habits within a few days so we didn't even have to program it. I love the history feature so I can see how long the furnace has ran each day. The nest has helped us lower our utility bills.

I have been using this since March and have not been doubting or regretting this item, it is truly exceptional in every way! it does great in actually learning a person habits in room temps, attempting to keep costs down and being more "environmentally friendly" in saving the unit to turn on and use "airwave." I look forward to their updates and future uses in using this product.

Thermostat nest digital learning

It's nice and fancy for sure. Has a million features. I like that fact that it gives you a learning usage report. Seems the central air runs a lot longer each time now to get to desired temperature than with my old thermostat. I do like all the features but not sure if it's actually saving me money? I guess I will have to wait and see after I've had it awhile to know if it is or not. Overall it seems like a great product!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It looks and works good but I don't like how the temperature is constantly changing or changing itself to eco mode.
