Good product, but needs more detailed directions

Make sure that your Nest has a C wire. Without it, your furnace could get damaged. Don't take the risk.

Love this thermostat

They were super easy to install & very easy to use. We have 3, 2 in our home. It is wonderful to be able to monitor it from a distance. I like the history feature & the fact that it will say when the outdoor temperature was higher that normal. The other is in a location that is used for meetings twice a week. Wonderful to be able turn the heat on before we get there. Like the clock feature.

Just what I needed

My thermostats both work great! They took only minutes to from the box to fully functioning on my walls. The set up is so easy, and they learn my family's routines so they can adjust the tperatures as we need them. A great purchase. Highly recommended!

It was easy to install i use my phone from anywhere to control the temp in my house. No more outrages bills because I forgot to set the temp. Love it.

Consistently excellent

My wife and I always thought our house was draft and temperature range was inconsistent. We had a working thermostat, but the bed rooms were wildly fluctuating in temperature. Then we bought a Nest, with a secondary temp sensor. It turns out that the problem was with our old thermostat. Our home is much more consist temp, and way more comfortable.

Misleading product compatibility

Wouldn’t actually run my furnace. Had to have heater company check it out and let me know the c wire doesn’t actually provide enough power for it to run the furnace effectively. They said I’d have to pull it off the wall and charge it every few days with a usb charger… who would actually do that with a home thermostat??? Returned and bought a different company’s thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest Learning Thermostat works with most 24V heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps with either forced air or radiant delivery. If the thermostat still has an issue after installing a C-wire, there might be a problem with the compatibility.
