Purchased and installed the generation 3 Nest. I did hire a professional for install, which if you never installed this I would recommend. So far the app connected with NO issues and it appears to be working well. Trying to figure out many of the little nuances, but being able to control it from my phone is a huge energy saver!

Cool Tool for the Home

The nest does what it says it is going to do. However, it does it much easier than it claims. I set it up, turned it on and let it go and that is it! Everything else has been running and doing well on its own.

The Nest came in a sleek looking modern package and I haven't stopped smiling. Everything was in it for installation...even a screwdriver. It learned our schedule quickly and recognizes whether we are home based on our phone locations. It is nice when we are gone to a ballgame then the temp stays low to save us money and I can turn it back up from my phone, before we get home...to a warm home.

I installed (20) of these at my church. Even though we previously had 20 programable stats, it was difficult/impossible to keep up with the settings. Having a wifi stat with an app is awesome! We paid for the thermostats in ONE year of energy savings!

Nest products are great and easy to use. I currently have CO/Smoke detectors, thermostat and a thermostat sensor. I also, plan on buying the doorbell and outdoor camera. Wondrrful products so far not one complaint.
