Wish I had become aware of this thermostat sooner. We are saving money every day on our electric bill. Summers are brutal in Arizona.

I like it. It looks great. Screen is lovely and easy to read. I have 3 minor complaints. 1) I thought the "learning" feature would be cool, but I actually don't like it changing the temp on its own. 2) I had a hard time getting the wires to reach. The mounting plate has the wires splayed out in a very wide pattern, which can be a problem if you don't have a lot of slack. 3) The screen shuts off and only lights up when I walk by - I'd rather it stay dim, and use the ambient light to determine the brightness when it lights up. Every time I walk by to use the restroom in the middle of the night my eyes are blasted by it, yet when I'm sitting across the room and I'm curious what it is set to, I can't tell because the screen is off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Upgrade

Was unsure about installing it myself I figured that I needed to have some sort of prior knowledge of hvac systems but I was wrong , installation took less than 10 minutes and the level of instructions was great and easy to follow. The thermostat itself looks and feels it was made with great attention to detail. The app is great and has a solid UI

We use two of these in a vacation home that we rent out and visit occasionally. It is so nice to manage our home temperature from a distance. We anticipate it saving energy expenses. It was simple to install and easy to figure out the app. Now I need to get one for the home I live in!

I'm very excited about my Nest Thermostat. Looks great and works well. I just wish that Alexa could do more than just adjust the temperature setting. Would love it, if she could also turn it on or off. Overall, really thrilled with it.
