The nest that can't make up it's mind

Temp settings all over the place, keeps trying to turn heat down to 60, we're freezing. Need to be able to set up regular schedule
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Randy, thanks for sharing your experience with Nest Learning Thermostat. We’re sorry to hear that the learning feature doesn’t work well for you.
Sometimes, the automatic schedules can be off depending on the use, but you can turn off the Auto-Schedule feature to control your thermostat manually from the Nest app or the thermostat display.
With the Nest app:
- Open the Nest app and select your Nest thermostat > Select Settings and then Auto-Schedule > Tap the switch to turn it off.
On your thermostat:
- Press the ring and choose Settings > Select Nest Sense > Choose Auto-Schedule > Then Off.
If there are schedules previously created in the system, Nest Learning Thermostat may still follow them. We suggest clearing them to make sure it will only follow your manual schedules. Here's how to clear them:
- On your thermostat, select Settings > Reset > Schedule > Reset > Turn the ring of the thermostat to complete the reset.

Works Great .,. Just as Advertised!

Prior to our recent move, we had a Nest Learning Thermostat. Our new home had another brand. After a couple months or so, I missed our Nest, so ordered one. It is working great! I even ordered and installed a remote sensor (well worth the money).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product, scheduling needs work

The thermostat is great at learning my habits and being easy to use. I bought it to upgrade an old existing thermostat that had to be manually switched from hot to cool.
The only downside to this is setting up a schedule. It’s not as simple as it should be and can be confusing. I got around this by setting the temperature daily manually and after a week it started to adjust itself!

Very happy with the functionality and look of our nest thermostat. It was very easy to install and set up. After a month my thermostat stopped connecting to the Wi-Fi and I contacted nest support. They were awesome to work with and when it was determined that my thermostat had a faulty Wi-Fi chip, a new one was sent to me within two days. Excellent customer service.
