The Nest

I got a Nest for Christmas from my daughter. I was so surprised I had heard how great they are. My daughter installed it for me in a matter of 40 minutes, so simple. She also owns one and loves it dearly so that is why she got one for me. I really like it a lot. My old thermostat was a big pain, it drove me crazy I had the hardest time trying to set it, it had three different settings oh my! I can say that the Nest is the best thermostat I have ever had thanks to my daughter she opened my eyes to see how easy it really is!
I would recommend this to a friend!

A mind of its own

It's pretty, works well, love the app.... but it keeps changing to 70 degrees even when I set it to 72. Then I did some googling and ended up turning off the learning side of thermostat inside the app and it STILL is changing it back to 70 on me.... super annoying
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Life couldn’t get any better

I love my Nest Learning Thermostat! Extremely easy to install. Extremely easy to use. I personally like the scheduling feature since I have a routine. Always low temperature at night and when I’m away. Best feature is the ability to control the unit using my voice with my Amazon Echo devices. The Nest app allows me to check and control things when I’m away. I can also check usage information.

Great investment

having the ability to change the environment in your household virtually anywhere has been a feature that I overestimated and originally thought I would not need. As time has progressed this may be my favorite feature. having the ability to turn on the circulation fan for a certain amount of time instead of having to worry to turn it off later or having the ability to cool down the house before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't get out of bed without one

First thermostat that I ever actually enjoyed owning. I can turn it on using the app on my phone 30 minutes before I get home on really cold days. I can leave it off when I get to sleep in and then turn it on again using the app from my bed 30 minutes before my toes touch the floor. I actually purchased another less expensive brand of smart thermostat first, but one look at all of the trouble shooting that would be required during set up set me back to the Nest.

I’ve only been using this a few days however it’s definitely worth the money. Easy to set up even for a novice . I’m still waiting to see the learning portion of Nest and how much it can save me on the electric bill.
