The contractor recommended it because he had it in his own home. We figured if it was good for his own home then we would give it a try. It was easy to program and we like the ability to be able to control it from our phone with the app. We had other Nest lighting products and this works just like we expected. Now we want to see how much electricity we will save as it learns what our habits are.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was a bit concerned before I began installation, but the instructions were easy to follow and set up took less time than I expected. I like the fact that we will be able to control temperature settings while away from home. Will see it it creates cost savings this winter.

We have the black with black outside ring. If it had wings, we could deploy it.
Install, set-up and forget it's there. After a few weeks it learns our schedule and sets temps automatically. When we are off schedule, a simple adjustment to the Nest or adjustment via phone gets the temperature set to save energy.

Just bought my first home, and swapped out my old thermostat for. A Nest one! Amazing!! Easy to hook and and set, also the app makes it great when away. My utility company offers a discount and I can’t wait to see my bill! Thank you NEST!
