This product is easy to install and manages my home heating and cooling above my expectations. The app is cool and quickly allows me to view and manage my home energy use.

I’ve been wanting this thermostat for sometime, with a household of around 6 people and able to control it from anywhere is awesome. Wished I would’ve gotten it sooner.

3rd Gen - Great product, from a techie

I work in IT and sometimes hate to worry about my own tech when I get home. I just want things to work, as of course anybody. I love that the Nest is a great product to use and an even greater product to be able to set it and forget it. With it's learning ability at times I don't even worry about adjusting the temp as it just feels nice. Put in the effort the first week and it learns great!

This product so far has exceeded my expectations. The moment I took it out of the box it had a feel of quality just from the weight and smooth design, retro/high tech! It's been installed for about 3 weeks now and so far it has worked flawlessly. Being able to adjust the temperature of my home from anywhere is awesome.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keeps Energy Costs Down

By being able to set the thermostat for when you are away helps to reduce energy costs and keeps the bills lower than without being able to program the temperature. I like the design and being able to control the temperature of the home when away by using the app on the phone or laptop. This is my first smart technology product and am pleased with the performance.

2wire thermostats

If you have heating and cooling a/c on a two wire thermostat then you have a proprietary thermostat on the wall and a matching receiver in the Furnace.
To eliminate above pull a new 5 wire thermostat wire from furnace to wall thermostat.
Very easy on a single storey house.

We've only had our Nest Thermostat for a couple of months. A few days after we installed it we went away for a few weeks. We controlled it remotely monitoring humidity while trying to keep a reasonable environment for our furniture & woodwork, it worked perfectly! We had our pet with us, so we were comfortable with the house being a little warmer than usual.
I would recommend this to a friend!
