Be not afraid

I purchase the nest since we often forget to turn the heat or air off and the only ones that enjoy it at times are my dogs. I purchased the nest so I could turn off/on the unit anytime from anywhere. It was easy and relatively quick to install. Just read and watch some videos prior and there you go.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Second Time Around

As the title of my review implies this is our second Nest. The first one was purchased and installed by us to upgrade and existing thermostat and to provide us with the capability or monitoring/controlling our heat pump while we are gone. It has worked so well we installed another in our second home. This is a great unit.

Thermostat works as expected, had an issue with unit but Nest sent a replacement right away and the issue was resolved.

First Time Nest User

I recently received the Nest as a gift. This is the perfect item for somebody trying to reduce the energy spend, or a techie that wants a new toy for the home.
the 2 features I enjoy the most are being able to change the temperature in my condo from my phone and using voice controls via alexa, and its definitely sharper than the plain unit thermostat I had prior.
2 thumbs up.

Excellent product

I have owned a few digital thermostats and even an ecobee smart thermostat. The nest is by far the easiest to use and smartest one yet. With in a week the thermostat learned my daily routine and adjusts the temperature accordingly. What a great product. Thank you!

One of the best thermostats available now.
The elegant design and finish captures everyone's attention.
Simple and straightforward to set it up and forget about it.
It does learn well about your temperature settings throughout the day and then adjusts it accordingly going forward. You need not meddle with it every day.

Great until it stopped working

I really liked the nest thermostat, until it stopped working and google did nothing to fix it. I have basically sold my soul to google, I have pixel phone, subscribe youtube tv, youtube music, etc. I have generally had no issues but this was really disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
