Very Impressed and will add another

I recently added a Nest Learning Thermostat to the upstairs area in my house. After some initial problems with a blown fuse in the air conditioning unit, it was easily connected. Since getting things connected, it has worked flawlessly and is everything and more than I expected. I plan to add another to my main floor after making sure that this Nest was all that it was cracked up to be. It is!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Close to a month

My first quarrel was with the installation. The app walked me through the wires etc. and then randomly determined I needed a professional, and would not let me get past that point or reset, no matter what I chose. So I googled the matching wiring and it was easy as pie.Set-up the eco modes, etc. and now every day, the thermostat randomly decides I'm not home and bumps it up to 76. I work from home, have pets, and live in a townhome. 76 downstairs, is about 84 upstairs where my office is. I turned off eco mode, and then noticed it had the 76 in the schedule. I had to delete each entry from the schedule. Done.Next day, its set to 76, how? Schedule is somehow set again to 76. Delete the entire schedule again, one entry at a time (not an easy task). Ended up disabling smart learning after several weeks of this fight. 2 stars because it looks nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thermostat changes its temperature automatically due to some factors like, schedule, learned habits (auto schedule), and Home/Away Assist which makes your thermostat go to ECO mode. Aside from the troubleshooting that you’ve done, we also suggest turning off your Home/Assist, and make sure to clear the existing and learned schedules by selecting Settings, then Reset, then Schedule and Reset again.

We switched from another programmable thermostat, yes it worked but the wifi part of the unit did not function well and the instructions were lacking. The Nest is neatly designed, easy to install,and the instructions clear and precise. We bought two. Work smoothly with the app on our iphones and expect the small will be true when we connect to Alexa.
I would highly recommend the Nest thermostat

The Nest learning thermostat was very easy to install and did not require a “C” or common wire for it to work. They even include a nifty little screwdriver to assist in the installation. Everything I needed was in the box although I did use my cordless drill to drive in the included mounting screws. set up was a breeze and the app works great. I control it with “Alexa” echo dot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lives up to the hype

I am totally happy with the performance, look and ease of use of the nest. It has learned from our use and I haven't had to use the schedule feature. I like that I can plan if we're coming home late or early ahead of time. The app is very intuitive and beautifully designed. We've had it for a month and a half and have had no issues. I was slightly skeptical on how effective the learning part of nest would be but it lived up to the hype.

Quality Product that Works as Advertised

I looked at these for at least 2 years before buying one. After moving into a larger house that had trouble keeping up with the cooling in the summer, I decided to pull the trigger to see if the Nest would help. It was easy to install and setup, and has made a difference in the amount of time that my A/C runs. It's easy to use, both from the unit itself, as well as from the app.

Good enough

I like the smart feature of being able to view and control the thermostat remotely. However, the responsiveness to temperature change could be better and the learning feature results in the AC being turned on or off at unexpected times. I turned off that feature.
