My Nest Thermostat

What a treat to to add this Nest to our home. It looks attractive and is so easy to use. Setting the temperature from my app when I'm away from home and seeing when my kids come and go is a super feature!

I’ve had a few different thermostats in my day, and this is hands down the beat and smartest one I’ve ever came across! My most favorite feature is that is will use less heating/cooling when the family is out of the house to save energy. If you are thinking about buying this...stop thinking and start buying. No remorse here!

Why didn’t we get these sooner?

After dealing with old thermostats for years, the kind you need a manual to set anything, we are so glad to have made the transition. Easy to install and even easier to use. Using with Alexa and it has been great. Can heat the house up before getting up...love that. We just purchased and installed the Nest Hello and love it also. We live in a pretty nice, quiet area but always nice to have that extra layer of security. Thanks Nest!

No Regrets

I love the Nest Learning Thermostat. The reason for only 4 stars is that I use the fan schedule to circulate the air even when the heat or cool are not operating. You do have to have the heat or cool turned on though. My old thermostat would circulate the air every hour even when the heat/cool were turned off. With the Nest, I have to turn on the heat but set it for the lowest setting to have the fan schedule to work.
The other thing is that I don't find the "learning" part to be that helpful. I think I'd just rather adjust the temperature according to how I feel at the time instead of having the Nest do it for me.
Otherwise, I really like it. I like being able to tell Alexa to set the heat before I get out of bed, etc. The thermostat looks nice and they included a faceplate since my old thermostat was larger and I'm going to need to paint before taking it off. It also integrates nicely with the Nest app, which I had due to having two Nest cams.
Overall, I don't have any regrets purchasing this thermostat.
