Great learning thermostat

Very good looking thermostat. Does a good job of learning the needs to heating our home. Definite upgrade to standard thermostats

Love my Nest Thermostat

I would have never known about this product if it were not for my electric provider. I love it so much. Convenient, easy to install and very tech savy. Can program temps away from home. Can even secure so no one in home changes the temp if that's an issue. Works with Google and Amazon technology. Love it!

Amazingly well thought out

I often complain about products that were designed by engineers, but never reviewed by the people who will use them before they are produced. This product doesn’t suffer that same fate. Flawless installation, from a great user guide, as well support online, and by phone. And the device is very simple to understand, and easy to read.

I am enjoying my new learning thermostat. When I walk by it the face comes to life and lets me know what the temp is and what it is set to. I often walk through the door, only to say to my self what was I getting from this room? Many times in the past it was to turn down the heat before heading to bed. Now I get up in the morning and see the Nest T-stat has done it for me.
I love that the thermostat knows how long it will take to warm the house to the desired temperature and adjust its start time in relation to the outside temperature.

The Nest just works as advertised.

I've had a dual fuel heating system since 1989. Replaced the original units in 2007 and have had a fair amount of trouble with the thermostats that control the system. The thermostats have to deal with when to use the heat pump and when to switch to the gas furnace. I replaced the original 1989 thermostat at least four times in 18 years. Always quit controlling the switchover to the furnace properly. Problems continued with the new units, but the thermostat just lost some of its functions, but eventually would work.
So far with the nest everything just works the way it should. Easy set up. No problem with the dual fuel or the switchover from heat pump to gas furnace. It uses the heat pump until it detects outside temps of below 35 degrees, then switches over to the gas furnace. I couldn't be happier. That it works with my Google Home so I can just tell it to raise or lower the temperature is a plus. The phone app that lets me control the Nest from anywhere is another plus. So far I have not used the phone app to automatically lower the temp when I leave the house, because my grandson lives with me and usually stays home.
I am extremely happy with the Nest so far and am looking forward to it continuing to work well for years to come.

Installation was pretty straightforward. I ended up using the Nest Power Connector also. Love the display options and that I can control it from my phone.
