Love the Nest

I bought the Nest to save on the power bill. Im a new home owner & not comfortable with working on electrical wires. The nest instructions are simple , detailed, & easy to follow. I had no issues & am thrilled to have my new nest.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thermostat is good but not fully integrated

Thermostat is very good; performs as advertised. Very easy to install and very easy to add remote sensors. The inconvenience is that in order to see which sensor is active, or even what the ambient temperature is at the sensor, you have to log into the Nest app. Likewise for setting the temperature for a location that ISN'T the thermostat. I'm guessing this was done deliberately as not everyone would need remote sensors (especially given the cost to install three, or more additional sensors). But, it does make it inconvenient for those that do have the sensors; which kind of defeats the "smart" aspect that the system is being advertised as. Still, a very good concept and will be awesome with just a little more engineering development.

Nest - A New Direction.

Last week my wife brought home a new thermostat. We had talked about trying to go as energy efficient. the thought of trying to install and setting up all the computer interactive programs that I have heard comes with the NEST Thermostat seems overwhelming. It took about an hour to install and maybe 15 minutes to preform setup. It was so easy and simple. I love our new NEST.

This is one of the best house products on the market today! I literally can't imagine living without one now. The convenience, efficiency, energy saving, I could go on and on! Trust me you want this in your house! Its a game changer!

Installed on an old Thermo Pride furnace. Simple added a transformer for the 24VAC needed and a relay to switch the original T&T on the burner circuit.
