Simple and Elegant, But Efficient

We're really still getting the hang of our Nest, but it has been a great product so far. Install was easy and quick. Monthly reports on the app gives us an idea of how we're doing on energy usage. It's easy to adjust on the wall or on the phone. The schedule took a little time to figure out (I think it was a week), but once it learned our pattern, we rarely have to change anything.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall, it did really well

When I first started I was a bit concerned about what it was able to do. I did have to contact support because some of the features, such as setting the temp at which the alternative fuel kicks in, were really hard to find. But it was all there and now operates the way I like it. We got hit by that polar vortex last year which broke lost of pipes on my block. Won't happen this year!

Still figuring it out

I was excited when I got my Nest learning thermostat couldn't wait to install it. I didn't have any problems taking down the old thermostat and putting the new one up. The only problem I had or having is learning how to set the settings, I'm still trying to figure that one out, but I will eventually get there, if not I will call somebody. And this is the only reason why I gave the rating of 4.

The first step to a smart home

This was the second wave of devices from nest to enter the home after the doorbell. I also bought some nest protects after finding out that they talk to the thermostat and can coordinate during an emergency to shut down HVAC systems to buy some time to get to safety. I wish the thermostat had more info at a glance like the Honeywell it replaced but the nest app makes up for it.

Just installed the nest thermostat this past weekend and wow. I never thought I’d use the app to control the temperature in my house. Now I can’t believe I waited so long to upgrade. The ease of installing the nest thermostat is great. Makes instructions clear and concise. Upgrade, you’ll be glad you did!
